ACM Student Chapter

DSA Olympiad

The Department of Computer Engineering at SVKM's Institute of Technology, Dhule, in collaboration with the SVKM IoT ACM and ACES Student Chapter, organized an engaging DSA Olympiad. The contest was open to students across all years of the B.Tech program and consisted of multiple timed rounds featuring problems on arrays, strings, recursion, and sorting algorithms. Participants tackled real-world-style challenges on a live coding platform, sharpening their logic, optimization, and debugging skills. The competition fostered a spirited environment of friendly rivalry and peer learning, culminating in the recognition of top performers with certificates, badges, and exclusive ACM merchandise.

Hour Of Code
The DSA Olympiad event, hosted by the Department of Computer Engineering at SVKM's Institute of Technology, Dhule, in partnership with the SVKM IoT ACM and ACES Student Chapter, aimed to deepen participants’ proficiency in data structures and algorithms through a structured, competitive format. Students from second, third, and final years registered for the contest, which featured three rounds of increasing difficulty: an introductory warm-up, an intermediate challenge focusing on recursion and dynamic programming, and an advanced finale testing graph algorithms and greedy strategies.

Each round was conducted on an online judge with real-time scoring, allowing contestants to submit solutions in C++, Java, or Python. Throughout the day, mentors circulated to provide guidance and discuss optimal approaches. At the conclusion, the top 10 scorers were honored with e-certificates and ACM-branded apparel, while all participants received digital participation certificates to acknowledge their dedication and growth.
